Legitimate Work-From-Home Jobs

I have not been particularly fond of writing these days. One of the many excuse I can give is that I was too busy working. Trust me when I say working as a human resources executive is NOT easy AT ALL.  I am now handling paperwork of 200+ employees and 100+ more to come. I am choking in and out filing, filing and more filing. Unfortunately, this job is not enough to get me through the whole month considering I have responsibilities -- sending my brother to school and blah blah blah. Anyway, here I am constantly looking for part time job which I can actually get paid without having to drag myself out on the weekends and suffer from the horrible traffic of Bangkok.

After many trial an error I can at least come up with two legitimate work from home jobs. I bet if you google that up right now you will (and always will!) come across with sites that babbling about how much money you will make per month. "All you have to do is pay us $99 and we will send you jobs!" That sort of stuff. Come on...I can do s**t loads of stuff with that $99, why would I want to take risk with that? Chances are that they will only send you a few jobs. You might be able to get all your money  back... in years...

Let's get into business shall we?

GlobalTestMarket
All you will have to do here is complete the surveys. For those of you who live in the States or Europe, more surveys for you. I live in Thailand and it was not until 2010 that Global Test Market started expanding their business. Well, I earned... but slowly. Each survey earns you 5-60 marketpoints and 20 marketpoints for every friend you referred. They sent me a few cheque each work $50-$100/ 2-3 months. I am happy. Well, check it out https://www.globaltestmarket.com/

ProTypers
I have a few more which is yet to prove. One of them is Protypers. Basically this is a Captcha typing job. Looks easy but it takes a bit of your time working your $$$ till you get paid Maybe you can help me reach minimum rate of $3 faster :) I like this one since it pays through Paypal. Easier this way. I'll definitely update how it goes.

Odesk
As a freelance, Odesk is the best so far.  Odesk links you to different clients with tons of opportunities out there even simplest job such as typing and converting Words to Excel. Just follow the link and become one of the many successful contractors! Odesk

Pear's

I've been quite, well, depressed lately. Good breakfast is always essential to the healing or at least add some idea of worthiness to my thoughts so in the end, things wouldn't seem to be going so bad. It's good to balance the thoughts in your head once in a while. My mother always say there's an extreme good and evil in me (which I have to admit, it's true). When I'm good, I'm really really good. But when that dark thoughts take over, I'm done. I could be the worst me possible.

Anyways, I have no intention to include all the sour stuff here. It's the breakfast I wanted to talk about. Just plain good. Never tried their cakes but the freshly baked bread are exceptional. I would have guessed the same with their cakes.

Scrambled egg served with ham and toasted bread. Their omelet is just as good but I was a little bored with stir fried potatoes, thought I would skip it entirely.

Ended with ice coffee. Well, can't help. It was way too hot outside so it is extremely important I keep myself cool (as in temperature) as much as possible ;)

The website is not functioning properly. You have a choice of visiting one of their branch at Rama IV or Chidlom.

Cheers!

In a Mood for a Few Drinks?

courtesy of K. Warm
Ah, this was taken a few days back but anyways, I'm in a mood for it (even if it's morning here in Bangkok). A good recap of when my team and I randomly visit Siam Kempinski after work. The guys ordered beer, of course.

"Whiskey Apple Sour" was the name of my drink, which I gotta say, not very impressive right from the start. Orders taken but unfortunately, mine came last...Everybody had to wait. Frankly speaking, the rule is all the drinks must come at the same time. I worked in a bar and still remember it by heart. Anyways, when it was my turn, "Whiskey Apple Sour" turned into "Appletini".... As confused as I was, I didn't want others waiting... but I was quite sure it wasn't what I had ordered... Disappointed of course.

Other than the drinks, everything else is good. I particularly like the cashew nuts glazed with what I think might be "Tom Yum" flavored glaze. A little sweet and sour, mild taste of chili. Atmosphere of the hotel is simply elegant :)

McDonald's Filet-O-Fish, Half a Slice of Cheese?

I'm never a big fan of McDonald's but eventually decided to get a Filet-O-Fish because I was in a hurry. Here's what I found:

Half a slice of cheese... Really McDonald's? That's a total ripoff...

I checked if there's anyone facing the same problem. To my surprise, there's even facebook page about it! Crazy eh? It's not that I want to make a big deal out of this piece of crap but...come on...this is too ugly. You keep increasing the damn price and this is what I get?

Never again!

Fluffy Pancakes (Revised Recipe)

I decided to modify the recipe a little to make the portion fits all 3 family members (See previous post "Basic Pancake Recipe") My younger brother eats a lot more than others so I gave him a stack of 5 pancakes. Dad has 4 and 3 for myself. Remember, this is not an American portion. Size of the pancakes you see on the photo is a 1/3 smaller than what is being served in the States.

Again, no butter, lots of fruits, one healthy breakfast :)

Serving size: 3 (around 12 medium size pancakes)

250 g           All Purpose Flour
  50 g           Sugar
  3                Pinches of Salt
  15 g           Baking Powder
  2                Eggs
300 g           Milk
                    Honey / Maple Syrup
  1                Kiwi
  1                Orange
** Any fruit of your choice is fine. It'd be lovely to add banana slices, strawberry,

See my previous post for direction :)

A Day Through The Lens

Tyler has decided to bring a friend with him today. Not exactly a friend, I actually couldn't figure out yet :) Anyways, here's another camera victim. I told him he has to stay still or else I won't let him in the house and he understood.

I told him to stay still if he wants to be let in the house :)

Long stride, little lion :)

Look at how determine he is! I love the way light reflects in his eyes, making them standout.

Jump and Claw!

Looking elsewhere?

I like focusing on eyes. The eyes that I can see through your heart and soul. It's because of those eyes that things are starting to make sense. Invisible string that connects.

never forget who you are

Those words came up after a movie date with a close friend of mine. We have been wanting to catch up but never did manage to pick the right time until yesterday. It was great. We had the quickest lunch on the record, just so we could catch them trailers before Wrath of the Titans then The Hunger Games. I'm a huge fan when it comes to Greek Mythology and... oh, Sam Worthington made it all worthwhile :) We came out with some doubts on the Hunger Games especially what actually happen to Katniss and Gale in the end. Did Gale realize that those were just acts? We might have missed something, I don't know but I will definitely get the books this week.

Last but not the least, I leave you with another sleeping posture of my Tyler :) Sleep tight little one.

Love Me or just Let Me Be

Just the littlest thing I want other people to know that I couldn't care less about what they think of me. The exclusivity belongs only to the people that matter to me. I tend to be bold when I'm in my unusual mood, as you can see :) It's probably good anyhow. Be Expressive!

Creative Christmas Video - Dave Barnes

I know we're not even close to Christmas, in fact, we've just pass the previous one. But this is so creative and inspiring I can't wait to share it with all of you! Hope you will like the video!

Toni Morisson - Quote

Just when I thought I would have the best day ever, something didn't turn out right. Problem with the heart, or rather someone else's heart. An on and off friend (yes, friend) sort of thought I had feelings for him...Like I once had 6 years ago. It was a long twisted story anyway, this one....It happened on facebook (speak of the devil!) I was tagged with a drawing. Just that and it was like a shout out to every of my friends, "Heyyy...I'm actually in a VERY FKING COMPLICATED RELATIONSHIP!" You gotta be kidding me... "I'm single, people." That multiply by 20 times...

Embarassed.
It was too far.

I asked him at least respect me...and remove it...
What happened after that was a typical reaction from an extremely emotional person (this I can't blame him).

That leads me to my favorite quote by Toni Morrison.
Definition. Assumption. Thoughts. Guess.  Whatever they are enjoy the graphic :)

Camper!

I can guess what you're thinking... No, this is not original advertisement from camper. Well, the pair of boots you see here is genuine. I simply google search Camper logo and place it there, just to praise the brand lol. I love Camper. This is the second most expensive shoes I ever bought. At least, I expect it to last 5 years or longer like my Joseph Seibel :)

My photography skills isn't as bad as I thought after all. Feel free to explore the rest of the blog!

Tyler - Updates

I know I've been taking lots of photos lately. It's kind of stress-relieve, seriously. Here goes a little update on Tyler's well-being. It's been almost 3 months since he came to us. He means the world to me. There's nothing I can't do for this little buddy.

Here's a little message I want to leave to the world today...I have always thought that I was born to make a difference in this world. If not much, then as much as I could. To make it a better place to live. A better place for people I love. I alone can't possibly achieve much, but at least I have made the life of this little one (below) a happy one :)

Those Eyes

Neighbor next door own a dog with the most fascinating yet fiercest eyes I've ever seen.
 This is Tangmay :)

Posing for the camera :)

Her owner says she would wait for me to come home every evening just so she could get a pat on the head. Else, she wouldn't want to get back inside. Isn't that the loveliest thing?

The most beautiful eyes.

If only she's mine :)

Best Pancakes Recipe

I actually took time to make breakfast this morning. A simple breakfast but requires accuracy in every way- ingredient measurement, time, and delicacy.

My recipe is modified from the original taken from All Recipes.com. Link below:
http://allrecipes.com/recipe/fluffy-pancakes-2/detail.aspx?event8=1&prop24=SR_Title&e11=pancakes&e8=Quick+Search&event10=1&e7=Recipe

The good thing about this recipe is that it doesn't require mixture of butter, which makes it super healthy. I also eliminate 30 ml of white vinegar turning the recipe back to the good old original basic. Give it a try :)

125 g       All-Purpose Flour
  25 g       White Sugar
   5 g         Baking Powder
                 A pinch of Salt
  1 tsp       Vanilla Extracts
150 ml      Non-Fat Milk
  1             Egg

Directions:
  1. Always No.1 rule in baking: Combine dry ingredients together . Flour, sugar, baking powder, baking soda, and salt in a large mixing bowl.
  2. Whisk egg into milk. Pour the flour mixture into the wet ingredients and whisk until lumps are gone.
  3. Heat a large skillet over medium heat. Coat the surface with a little bit of butter, make sure not too much or else color on surface of your pancakes will come out unevenly. Pour 1/4 cup full of batter onto the skillet and cook until bubble appears on the side and surface. Flip with a spatula until the other side turn brown. Remember, flip once only
  4.  Serve with honey or fruit jam of your choice.
Better yet, have it with a cup of hot coffee or chocolate :)

A Few Amazing Photos - 11pm

I wanted to share (to the world), of course, some of the most beautiful photographs I've seen tonight. Some are new. Some are on the web ages ago, nevertheless, they're sort of calming agent. Tired as heck yet I still like to spend time appreciating them.

Bee - The Flying Cat

I can never guess why Bee is the flying cat..but this is the best cat photo I have seen so far. Worth more than those photos you can find online site like Corbis, 123rf, Stockphotos, etc. The photographer has disabled save option on Flickr, I hope it's okay to share it. The photo is featured on Smashing Magazine website.

Good afternoon, my name is Chikiricuato

Another great photo with strange title. This is the ultimate face off between fox and bird. You can never guess if the bird actually got away :) Very cool. Pixdaus.com

 Here's my Tyler

Now I guess I can tweak a few photos of my handsome  cat, Tyler :)

Lana Del Rey

Okay, I've been very obsessive of Lana del Rey for the past years. Yes, even before she released her official Born to Die album.  I like her music style, somehow it fits me. She has this very edgy vibe, unique voice which draws me in. She definitely has her standpoint. It's what every one of my idol should have in common :) See? There's even a cat in the photo :)

Here goes Lana's newest vid - Blue Jeans

One of her best live performances. She's made it to my list of Must-See concert. Doubt if she would ever be in Bangkok....or I need to save up for a ticket to LA :)

One of the hardest songs to sing live!!!

Paws and Purrs

I've been thinking of starting a small shop of my own making a few hundreds a day aside my full time job. It was mom's idea to started a pet shop, sadly she never did make it happen. Well, after quite a long consideration (more than half a day) here's what I came up with... the logo.

Guess I'll have to wait till I come up with any additional ideas on how to make it work lol.

IKEA Bangna

I went to IKEA Bangna yesterday to check out some furniture. The self-service idea actually gave me a good break from annoying shopping mall staff trying to see faulty products... well, or something simply not up to my standard. It was sort of peaceful browsing the products. Guess what? I like it and will probably visit the store again soon.

A few photos to share.

Photos I might consider getting for my room.

Five out of more than 20 showroom at IKEA. I am eyeing for the blue walls and similar furniture arrangement like first photo on the right. Second photo on the right looks good as well, but too much like a tight-packed office, it'd look much better given more space in between the desk and sofa. Anyways, that's just an idea :)

See for yourself :)
