Future model for Friskies...

I swear he would pass as a model for Friskies if 1) He doesn't live in the temple. 2) I have connections with someone working at Nestles.

My most favorite photo of Mr. No Name :P

Notice the battle scar on the left.

Hey, Whatcha Looking At???

Red Red and More Red

Butterfly's Wings

Some plant I bought from street-side stall for just 20 THB. Attractive bright red color I couldn't resist :) Anyone know what's it called?

Taken by Sony Ericsson Xperia X10 - a great "day" camera.

Perfect Wall Calendar - The Architecture Blog

Came across this via my friend's FB page. This is exactly how I want my office to look like. Design of the desk and other stuff should look a little more modern to fit the theme.

The Experiment

As an owner, sometimes it's very difficult to decide if I should keep Tyler aka Mr. Adorable Troublemaker, or if I should let him go as the last resort. I saved him from being drugged to death by his owner and my intention was that if he is big enough, I will let him roam free. If you read my last post, the decision was tougher than I thought. What if he never comes back? What if he was attacked by dogs in the neighborhood?

My family and I never figure out how he managed to climb up our wall and couldn't when he wanted to leave the other house. We had to ask permission from the house next door to get him back. Ugly process... my would be neighbor didn't look too happy. Until we rebuild our backyard, then Tyler can freely walk around without me being worried, of course. Now it's either him in the house or outside in a big cage back of the house.... Tyler.. Tyler... What am I going to do with you??? :)

See the photos for yourself :D  -

Tyler climbed all the way up but couldn't come down. Guess who had to go get him...ME! Luckily this was in my front yard.

Obviously... Apple Magic Mouse is a perfect pillow.

Tyler the Wild One

Not long after I moved in to my new house, thought of adopting a cat became so clear. I have been waiting to have a friend after 4 full years living without any pet in the home. It could get that very lonely sometimes.

Jan.14 was the day I adopted Tyler, the lucky one out of the 6 siblings.

He was amazingly well behaved...Well, for a few days until I dewormed him. From the moment he felt better, well-behaved turned wild. He would run around the room, tearing off roll of tissue into tiny bits. I have had to bear several claw marks on both my hands and legs since he would start to jump and cling on to anything that moved. He still does.

I kept him safe and well but little did I know that my Tyler has been dying to leave the house for his own adventure. Yesterday was the first time he climbed up the wall and walked away. My heart was sinking from the though of losing him. Of course, he was only 5 months old! I sat waiting for him until morning, when he came back.

From that day on, Tyler's attitude changed. He was so determined to go out and no interest in eating at all. He would only come back when he's hungry. As for me, I am trapped in guilt. It would be alright if he was out and safe, but if it turns out different. If he never comes back...How am I supposed to live with myself? The thought of being an irresponsible owner is unacceptable but it was also my plan to give him all the freedom he needs as he grows. I can never caged him, yet I love him too much to let him roam around with ropes on. I guess I love him too much to not care of what would happen to him if there's a dog or mean neighbor wanting him dead....

Native or Non-Native English Speaking Teacher ??

I live in Bangkok, Thailand, a country of freedom where anyone in the world are free to start any kind of business you can imagine- yes, by that I mean both legal and illegal. It is a country of smile and expressions. A country of tourism. A country of I have to be the first in everything. I'm sure you might have already detected my sarcastic sound, well hey I speak the truth.

I have just begun to get back to teaching once again. Starting back up wasn't something easy. There's a lot of marketing to do- posting online and try to sell your best quality as a teacher. Sound easy? Noooope, it was difficult as hell. My frustration began from the very point I wondered into different forum with posts like "Cheap English lesson by native speaker...blah, blah, blah" I swear there must be more than a thousand posts. I started to look for English school for a bit, just to see if I am qualified to apply. Guess what I saw.... "Native speaker ONLY" Guess what happened to me... more frustrated at this point.

Thai parents seem to like hiring native English speaking teachers to teach their kids at home too, while it takes aaaaaaaaa-ges for me trying to convince them that hey I'm a Thai but I am capable of teacher no less than those natives without teaching degrees out there... Sad life, eh? No offense to anyone though. I'm sure there are many good teachers out there both foreign and local. I myself have had a few good teachers too.

It's going to be very interesting if I started a thread asking for people's view of having a native teacher. I'll see what I get and will update some answers in my next post.
